The Nest · two rooms

Two rooms.
One nest.

It's a Bar in Kreuzberg is a bar on the square with a room underneath it. The broadcast comes from downstairs. AMT Club sits 2.9 km north under the Alexanderplatz S-Bahn arches: two floors and a darkroom behind a Späti door. That one is their house, and we keep to their rules as guests.

Which room a night lands in depends on the night. The stream doesn't care either way.

The rooms

KREUZBERG · MITTE

Two rooms, one shape: you come in off the street, and the signal comes from the floor below. Here is the way down each of them.

It's a Bar

Kreuzberg · 10999 Berlin · U1 Görlitzer Bahnhof

  1. The streetWhere you start

On the square in Kreuzberg, three minutes' walk from U1 Görlitzer Bahnhof.

  2. The barFrom 19:00

Darts, cheap beer, and the whole cross-section of the neighbourhood in one room. No queue, no list, no door pick: it's a bar, and the door is open.

  3. The boothOn air from 22:00

Underneath it: low, raw, and pointed at a camera. This is where the signal starts, and where it leaves for wherever you are.

AMT Club

  1. The streetWhere you start

Dircksenstraße 114, under the S-Bahn arches at Alexanderplatz, next door to Burgermeister.

  2. The SpätiOver 21 · pull a number

Fridges, strip light, and the door you'd walk straight past. Ask in German and pull a number. That part is their policy, not a formality.

  3. The floorWhere the booth is

Down the spiral and under the viaduct proper, across two levels, with a train going over the top of the whole thing.

Their house, their rules

House rules

Short list, and it travels with us. Whichever room the night is in, these are the same.

Ask first

Consent runs the room: on the floor, at the bar, anywhere. Ask, and take the answer you get. It's not complicated and it isn't negotiable.

No dress code, no list

No VIP, no guest-list politics, no one to impress. Come as you are and let everyone else do the same.

Look after the room

Racism, homophobia, transphobia and handsiness get you walked out, no debate. Everything else: be kind, be patient, tip the bar.
